Healing with compassion for body, mind and soul
The London Obesity Clinic is a family-run private specialist practice, part of Simplyweight, providing expert care for obesity, diabetes and endocrine conditions.
The London Obesity Clinic is owned and run by Simplyweight, our family business. It began with a simple frustration: a storm of fad diets and misinformation, and people struggling with their weight being told little more than “eat less, move more”.
Dr Chinnadorai Rajeswaran had already helped thousands of patients with obesity and related conditions such as Type 2 Diabetes, and what was clear was that the same advice will never work for everyone. He founded the clinic with his daughter Kiruthika, who leads our vision, creative and digital work, and his wife Kala, our Managing Director, whose voice guides our healing meditations.
As practising kriya yogis, the family blends science with spiritual living in their own lives and translates that into the care we offer — nuanced, specialist and free of shame. Kiruthika's personal writing lives at Shunya.

We believe that obesity is not a lifestyle choice — it is a complex chronic condition driven by interconnected metabolic, inflammatory, hormonal and emotional factors. Lasting change requires understanding these complexities, not simply prescribing a diet.
Our vision is to provide world-class specialist care that treats the whole person. We combine evidence-based medicine with genuine compassion, offering patients a path to sustainable health improvement.
We are committed to making specialist obesity care accessible — not just to patients in London, but to those around the world who deserve expert guidance on their health journey.
Simplyweight is built and self-funded by one family, united by compassion and a genuine desire to heal.
Patients from over 30 countries trust our specialist care, both in-person and online.
All clinical care is overseen by Dr Raj, a specialist endocrinologist with over thirty years experience in the fields of obesity, diabetes and endocrinology.
We spend our working lives thinking about food. Some of what we earn goes towards food for people who don't have enough of it, in the communities around both our clinics.
Most of it goes unrecorded, because that is the spirit it is done in. We keep a record anyway.
