Compassion doesn't stop at the clinic door

Serving others has always been part of our family life. Here is a glimpse into some of the ways we help our local communities.

We support The Well Project's Trussell Trust food bank, helping fund family food parcels for people facing difficult weeks.

They started in 2007 as volunteers working out of the back of a minibus, reaching young people who had nowhere to go. Today they run a food bank, a youth club, social meals for people who would otherwise eat alone, and a volunteer-run shop that funds the rest of it.

“Somewhere to go, something to do, someone to talk to.”— The Well Project

Since autumn 2025, we continued funding family food parcels through The Well Project's Trussell Trust food bank. The parcels provided essentials for families facing difficult winter weeks.

108 toys, chosen one by one

This was a one-off Christmas donation, separate from our ongoing food-bank support.

We hand-picked 108 toys for The Well Project, focusing on the age groups they told us were hardest to provide for: boys aged 7 to 9 and teenagers.

Squishmallows, Avengers sets, Harry Potter, books and diverse dolls — a variety chosen with the children receiving them in mind.

Annadanam — the gift of food

Across India, annadanam is the offering of food to those who need it, and it is held to be among the highest forms of giving.

On Christmas Day 2025 we funded every meal of the day — breakfast, lunch and dinner — for every child at Good Life Centre, a registered children's home in Tambaram, Chennai.

Dr Rajeswaran and his wife also sponsored a child at this same centre throughout his education, through to becoming an engineer.

Our giving in India is only beginning, and it will not stop at one home.

There is more to give

Our family continues to serve people in many little ways, even if it's through the most simple acts of kindness. The vast majority of such acts are forgotten about, because they are done in the spirit of service. However, we feel called to share these human moments as a way to remind ourselves of how true gratitude and generosity can impact the lives of others.

We are just a small family business, but we believe this is only the beginning. We will keep helping where we can, close to our clinics and beyond, and let this record grow with the work.
