Master Metabolic Health Checkup

A joined-up assessment for diabetes and weight concerns, bringing clinical review, investigations and nutritional guidance together.

An individual approach

Join the results into a meaningful picture

Blood tests alone do not explain your health. This assessment connects relevant investigations with your symptoms, existing treatment and practical next steps.

The master check-up considers blood glucose, cholesterol, kidney function and cardiovascular risk alongside your history.

Your assessment, explained

A doctor-led metabolic assessment

The check-up is designed for diabetes and weight concerns, considering glucose, cholesterol, kidneys, eyes and cardiovascular risk. The doctor reviews complications and treatment that may affect glucose control or weight, explains the investigations and agrees follow-up. The exact package and preparation are confirmed before booking.

Body composition and nutrition

Body composition adds estimates of fat, muscle, water and, where supported, visceral fat to weight and BMI. A dietitian discusses eating habits and preferences to shape an individual meal plan. Ongoing dietetic support belongs to an agreed bespoke plan; optional CBT support can be discussed rather than assumed to be included.

Blood and urine investigations

The metabolic check-up covers these laboratory investigations. The doctor confirms which are appropriate and gives fasting and medicine instructions.

  • Fasting blood sugar — blood glucose before food
  • Post-prandial blood sugar — blood glucose after food
  • HbA1c — longer-term blood glucose
  • Spot urine microalbumin — small amounts of protein in urine
  • Fasting lipid profile — cholesterol and other blood fats
  • TSH and free T4 — thyroid function
  • Serum creatinine and urea — kidney function
  • SGOT/AST and SGPT/ALT — liver enzymes
  • Complete blood picture — red cells, white cells and platelets
  • Complete urine examination — urine contents and signs of abnormalities

Heart, circulation, nerve and eye checks

These additional assessments are interpreted alongside symptoms and clinical findings, not as separate scores.

  • ECG — recording the heart’s electrical activity
  • Biothesiometer/VPT — vibration sensation, particularly in the feet, to assess possible peripheral neuropathy
  • Doppler/ABPI — comparing arm and ankle pressures to assess leg circulation
  • Retinal screening — examining the retina for diabetes-related and other eye concerns
  • 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring — day and night readings to guide blood-pressure care

Your assessment questions

Preparation depends on the investigations arranged. The clinic confirms fasting instructions before your appointment; do not stop usual medicines without clinical advice.

The package includes a doctor’s consultation, body composition analysis, dietetic guidance and laboratory testing. Confirm the exact inclusions with the team before booking.

Your doctor interprets it alongside your history and symptoms. Further tests or treatment may be recommended and charged separately; urgent findings are managed according to clinical need.
