Pressotherapy Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Air-pressure massage for selected swelling and limb concerns, following a review of your medical history.

An individual approach

Understand swelling before treating it

A swollen limb should not automatically be treated with compression. Your symptoms and medical history help determine whether massage is appropriate or investigation comes first.

Understanding your care

A clinical approach to swelling

Pressotherapy uses a fitted compression garment for a controlled air-pressure massage. Swelling can have several causes, so an assessment is important before deciding whether this treatment is appropriate.

The treatment experience

The garment is fitted to the treatment area and settings are selected for your needs. The team monitors your comfort and explains what to expect during and after the session.

When further assessment matters

The clinic excludes treatment in circumstances including thrombosis, heart failure, pregnancy and certain blood or vascular conditions. Tell the clinician about unexplained swelling, recent injury, cancer or any tendency to bleed; suitability must be confirmed.

Your treatment, explained

Controlled compression, not a detox cure

Pressotherapy uses a garment that inflates and releases in sequence to apply controlled air pressure. It may help selected fluid-related swelling or comfort. It does not establish fat loss, destroy fat cells or ‘detoxify’ the body. Any heating or infrared setting requires its own suitability check.

Whole-body or targeted treatment

Treatment can use a whole-body suit or separate cuffs for a selected area. After a doctor’s assessment, the team agrees the area and pressure, fits the garment and monitors comfort. Normal activity may resume afterwards if advised. Review focuses on swelling, comfort and response rather than a guaranteed slimming result.

  • Whole-body garment — covering the planned body areas
  • Targeted cuffs — for a particular area

When compression is not appropriate

Treatment is not appropriate with thrombosis, heart failure, pregnancy or certain blood and vascular disorders. Cancer, recent trauma, varicose veins and a tendency to bleed must be discussed before treatment. New painful or one-sided swelling needs medical assessment, not massage. Pressure can cause discomfort or skin irritation; do not assume there are no side effects.

Your treatment questions

A fitted garment inflates and releases in a controlled sequence. Pressure settings are selected for you and comfort is monitored.

No. New, painful or one-sided swelling needs clinical assessment first. Compression may be inappropriate if a clot or another serious cause is suspected.

The team checks for thrombosis, heart failure, pregnancy and other vascular or blood conditions. Share your full health history before proceeding.
